Please join us for Instructional Development Day, on Thursday, January 23rd. Instructional Development Day is dedicated to developing ideas for your upcoming courses. Various workshops are offered throughout the day to enhance pedagogical skills. Open to all Pace faculty, these workshops are designed for both first-time and experienced instructors. This Instructional Development Day, all sessions will be facilitated synchronously online in webinar format using Blackboard Collaborate.

Maintaining Class When You Can't Make it to Campus
This workshop will demonstrate strategies for maintaining class in the event you are unable to make it to campus. Whether it be inclement weather, a previously planned absence or an unexpected emergency, this session will highlight best practices for planning ahead and utilizing your courses' online components to maintain your class schedule. We will demonstrate various methods that can be employed in such circumstances, such as lecture capture, web conferencing, digital media and utilizing the tools within your Blackboard course shell.
Pace Library Resources
If you can make a web link in your Blackboard course shell, you can deliver quick and easy access to Library resources and materials. Learn how to link directly to your E-Reserves, make quick links to Library subscription databases and full-text articles, and create links to online Library services including Chat Reference, Interlibrary Loan, and online Research Guides. Learn about the "Librarians in Blackboard" program where a librarian assist your students with research questions from within your Blackboard course shell.

This webinar will provide best practices regarding accessibility and will demonstrate how to make your documents and course on Blackboard accessible.
Four New Internal Funding Opportunities that Support Your Teaching, Scholarship and Creative Productions

This session will focus on three key tools of the Blackboard Learning Management System. The attendance tool, the grade center and the online webinar space. The Qwickly attendance tools allows instructors to keep a detailed record of student attendance. The robust Blackboard Grade Center is highly customizable with functions ranging from simple to complex calculations. Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a course specific online meeting space for instructors to hold synchronous course instruction or virtual office hours.
