A native of Ukraine, Anna Shostya is an Associate Professor of Economics and Assistant Chair at Pace University. She received her PhD in Economics from New School University and her MA in Economics from the City University of New York. From 2006 to 2016, she was a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Shanghai fro Science and Technology in China. Her major fields of study are transition economics, higher education, and China economic studies. Dr. Shostya has published a variety of papers in her fields and has presented her work at national and international research conferences. She is a recipient of an Excellence in Teaching Award, several Mentoring Awards and a National Confucius Institute People-to-People Award. She is a member of the Oxford Round Table for her research contributions to the area of higher education in the USA. Dr. Shostya is also an avid photographer and has participated in many photo exhibitions and organized several photo exhibits with her students at Pace University.
