Briarcliff Residence Halls

Dow Hall: Matt Landau | E-Mail
Matthew Landau was born in Kingston, NY and split his childhood in New York and the suburbs of Philadelphia. He attended Binghamton University, attaining a B.A. in Political Science. At Binghamton he served as Student Association President, earning him accolades through the years, including but not limited to, the Paul J. Battaglia Student Organization Leader of the Year. Matthew has a Masters of Science in Teaching and a Masters in Public Administration. Matt spent the last two years as a Residence Director at Pace and is very excited to begin his new position as an Assistant Director while working with the Dow Community!

Hillside House and Howard Johnson Hall: Derek Wills | E-Mail
Derek comes to Pace from outside of Buffalo, NY. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Nazareth College where he served as a Resident Assistant, in addition to holding other leadership positions. Derek went on to receive his M.S. in College Student Personnel from Canisius College. While in graduate school, Derek gained experiences in several other areas of Student Affairs including Student Activities, Career Planning and New Student Programs.Derek is very excited to begin working at Pace in the Hillside and Howard Johnson communities!

New Dorm: Vincent "Vinnie" Birkenmeyer | E-Mail
Vinnie Birkenmeyer is a proud alumni of Pace University, excited to be working in the field he loves at the university he has called home since 2007. Vinnie graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts as a Trustee's Award winner and accomplished student leader in academics, Greek life, Athletics and student government. He became a residence director in 2011 while working on his masters degree in public administration which he completed in 2013. Vinnie is currently the assistant director for community development, working closely with our first- year interest groups, programming and upperclassmen initiatives. Vinnie's professional interests include working with transfer students, advising student groups, and leadership development.

Valley House: Lauren Pizzolla | E-Mail
Lauren Pizzolla is from Thornwood, New York and recently completed a B.S. from SUNY Cortland with a major in Adolescence Education Mathematics (7-12). Lauren is very excited to start working at Pace University as a Residence Director while going for her Master’s in Educational Technology. During her time as an undergraduate, Lauren was very active in residential life including being a Resident Assistant for two years, the National Communications Coordinator for RHA and served as an intern in the Housing office. Lauren is excited to start the next chapter of her career at Pace University.

Martin Hall: Tiffany Bermudez | E-Mail
Tiffany Bermudez will be joining our team from Dominican College where she has two years of experience in Residence Life. At Dominican Tiffany received her Bachelors of Arts in Social Science Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Tiffany was very active in the student body including her position as a Resident Assistant, various offices in Student Government and the lead on multiple service projects. Tiffany is excited to begin here at Pace and we are excited to have her start as the Residence Director for Martin Hall!

North Hall: Samantha Bassford | E-Mail
Samantha Bassford has been a member of our Residential Life team for two years now as the RD of Hillside House and Howard Johnson Hall. She will be joining our staff as a full-time Residence Director in North Hall this year, with her Bachelors of Arts in Communications from the New York City campus as well as her Masters in Arts recently completed on the Westchester campus. Sam has worked with some of our most successful freshmen interest groups and initiatives over the last 2 years and we are very excited to have her join our team in this new capacity!

Townhouse: Joyce Arias | E-Mail
Joyce earned a BA in New Media from Purchase College. While at Purchase, she gained more than five years of progressive experience in Residence Life. More specifically, she served students as a Resident Assistant, Senior Community Assistant, Office of Residence Life Intern, and as a Residence Coordinator. Joyce is currently working on her MA in Higher Education Administration at Stony Brook University and plans to graduate in the spring of 2015.
