Medical Plan Waiver

(For the 6-month plan year from July 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018)

If you are electing to waive medical plan coverage as of July 1, 2018 (for the first time), you are eligible to receive an $1,800 reimbursement, payable in pro-rated installments of $75 per paycheck, for 1 year (through June 30, 2019). As of July 1, 2019, the reimbursement will reduce to $750 per plan year, payable in pro-rated installments of $31.25 per paycheck.

If you currently waive medical coverage (and will be doing so again for the short plan year), you are eligible for a $750 annual reimbursement, payable in pro-rated installments of $31.25 per paycheck. If you are currently receiving the medical plan waiver reimbursement, there is no need to re-enroll during the annual Open Enrollment period; the reimbursement will continue into the new plan year.

If you are enrolling in the medical plan waiver for the first time during this Open Enrollment period, please be sure to elect “Vision Only/Waive Medical” or “Waive Medical Coverage/No Vision” on the electronic enrollment form.
