Welcome to Pace University!
The goal of the Director Level Onboarding procedure is to support you in assimilating quickly and successfully into the Pace University culture. We are here to help you build relationships, understand the culture and achieve results. This is a two-phase program and unfolds as follows:
Phase I: Administrative
- Human Resources contacts the Hiring Manager and works with them to identify an Onboarding Support Assistant to help with the assimilation process. Once identified, HR will reach out to the support assistant to provide them with a checklist (PDF) of items to prepare for you, such as work essentials and schedules of meetings/trainings for the first few weeks of employment.
- The Director Onboarding website provides you with centralized information to help you understand and navigate the University. This includes: the History of Pace University; Officers of the Administration; University Policies and Forms; Administrative Procedures.
Phase II: Organizational
- As a new employee, you should attend the monthly New Employee Orientation. Please check your offer letter for the date of the next orientation.
- Your support assistant will have a transition notebook for you on your first day. This notebook will include helpful information including organizational charts, goals, staff information and job descriptions, budget documentation, and other departmental information that will help you familiarize yourself with your area.
