Students and Professor using technology to enable learning.

Virtual Presence

Virtual Presence refers to the idea of extending your teaching presence through technology. An instructor with a fully virtual presence, can deliver course content, send announcements, lead discussions, engage with students and grade assignments – all from a computer connected to the internet. In some cases, Virtual Presence can be used to build fully-online courses. In other cases, it can be used to supplement face-to-face learning in a blended course design.

Virtual Presence Checklist

The Virtual Presence Checklist is a list of suggested tools and steps that can help faculty at Pace start building their Virtual Presence. Building a strong Virtual Presence for your course is a big portion of creating an Academic Continuity Plan that will allow you to continue delivering instruction if the University is closed due to weather or other related emergencies.
