Nursing Honor Society
Zeta Omega, Westchester/Rockland at-large Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International is the Honor Society of Nursing. The purposes of Sigma Theta Tau are to recognize the development of leadership qualities; foster high professional standards; encourage creative work and strengthen commitment on the part of individuals to the ideas and purposes of the profession of nursing.
The Lienhard School of Nursing is part of the Zeta Omega Westchester/Rockland at-Large Chapter, which is composed of a consortium of nursing programs at the College of New Rochelle, Dominican college, Mercy College, and Pace University. Candidates for membership are selected on the basis of superior scholastic achievement. Undergraduates halfway through the program, in the upper 35% of their class, or graduate students a quarter of the way through the Master's program, with a 3.5 CQPA or higher are eligible. Outstanding community leaders in nursing are also eligible. Student standing is reviewed by individual school's chapter Faculty Counselor and eligible students are invited in writing to consider membership.
