"My supervisors heavily rely on me to get the job done....I go home every day with a feeling of importance."
– Dylan Jusino, Class of 2018

Meet Dylan Jusino from Glendale, New York. Dylan is a Finance / Quantitative Business Analysis double major on our NYC campus, on the Dean’s List, and a member of Beta Alpha Psi, and the Pace Toastmasters Club.

Where are you interning this summer?
The Waldorf Astoria New York

What have you been working on at your internship? Has it sparked an interest in a career/area of study you hadn’t already thought about?
I’m currently responsible for allocating the budget of all capital projects that are going on in the hotel. I have to ensure that other departments do not go over their budget and advise them on how to allocate their money. I’m much more interested in accounting now than ever before because I’ve been able to witness the value they provide to the operations of a business.

Do you believe your internship experience has helped to prepare you for your future?
My internship has prepared me in many ways. It has made me much well-versed in the hospitality field and also taught me valuable accounting principles that will be extremely relevant in my professional career.

Any advice for other Lubin students looking for internships?
Take a chance and apply because it won’t cost you anything. I think that the worst action a Lubin student can take is not acting at all because the opportunity is too competitive. I knew there was a chance I may not get called for an interview but I applied anyway because I truly felt that I deserved to be a part of the team (at the Waldorf) and simply because it couldn’t hurt.
