The National Council of Teachers has honored School of Education Associate Professor Tom Liam Lynch, EdD, with the 2018 National Technology Leadership Initiative Award for his considerable achievement in incorporating computer science concepts into English Language Arts learning.

The Heart of Health Care

The American Nurses Association: New York honored College of Health Professions Dean Harriet Feldman, PhD, with its 2018 Mentorship Award for her outstanding mentorship across the nursing field. “Nothing is more important than preparing future leaders to set the course for health care and higher education,” says Feldman. “I take this responsibility very seriously. It is an honor that I strive every day to live up to.”

Leading the Cybersecurity Charge

Seidenberg Professor Li-Chiou Chen, PhD, and Clinical Professor Andreea Cotoranu recently received a $222,000 grant from the National Security Agency through the U.S. Department of Defense Information Assurance Scholarship Program. The funding will support scholarships for students studying cybersecurity.

Excellence in Environmental Law

Elisabeth Haub School of Law Professor Nicholas Robinson, JD, received the 2018 Distinguished Achievement in Environmental Law and Policy Award from the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources. Robinson is widely considered a pioneer in the field of environmental law. In 1978, he founded Pace Law’s environmental law program, ranked among the top in the nation.
