2019 Guide to Your First Semester at Pace

News Story

Welcome, #PaceU Class of 2023! If you’re stressing about your first semester, never fear—check out our quick guide with info on how to find campus events, what student clubs and orgs to join, and more.

Welcome, Class of 2023! You’re about to embark on an exciting new chapter in your life, and we’re here to make sure you have all the resources you need to make the most of your first semester here at Pace. Whether you’re looking for a club to join or just feel like swinging by one of our many pop-up events, you’re in luck: this handy guide should be able to help.

If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to send us an email. We’ll be sure to point you in the right direction!

Social Media

The best way to find out what’s happening at Pace? Follow us on Twitter and Instagram! Not only do we post all the latest Pace news, but students are constantly running Insta takeovers to show off some of the cool things they’re up to—and how to get involved. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #PaceU.

Campus Events

From talent shows to movie nights to panel discussions to pizza parties, so much is happening at Pace! A great way to stay in the know is to keep your eye out for The Pulse. We post on the Pace website and send out an email about events happening on both campuses every Monday morning. You can also sign up for OrgSync (on the PLV Campus or NYC Campus, respectively) for info on all upcoming events.

There’s also Common Hour! At these times during the week, no classes are scheduled, which means most events are happening then:

  • >> 12:10 p.m.–1:10 p.m. | Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
  • >> 3:25 p.m.–4:25 p.m. | Tuesdays and Thursdays

Swing by the Kessel Student Center on the PLV Campus or the Student Center on the NYC Campus to see what cool things are going on!

Student Clubs and Organizations

Did you know there are 100+ student clubs and organizations at Pace? Whether you’re looking to get your hands on research with the Chemistry Club, show off your vocal prowess with our choir and a cappella groups, or brush up on your marketing know-how with the Lubin Business Association, there’s something for everyone here.

Our confirmed list of available student clubs and organizations for Fall 2019 will be available soon on OrgSync, but for an idea of what we had last year, check out the 2018 list. Can’t find what you’re looking for there? You can always create your own club. The possibilities are endless.
