From board game night, to free BBQs, to drag show delight, 50 Days and 50 Nights is heating up for chilly November.

50 Days and 50 Nights is heating up on the PLV campus this November! Get ready to pie friends in the face and then show your thanks for them with flowers in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Turkey dinners, Election Day hangover cures, cook-offs, concerts, and more await you this week thanks to SDCA.

Monday, November 7

Brace for Survival
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. | Kessel, Gottesman Room
Get crafty and give back! Alpha Phi Delta will raise awareness and funds for their philanthropy, the Wounded Warrior Project, while teaching students how to make their own paracord survival bracelets. The cost is $3 to make a bracelet and $5 to purchase a premade bracelet.

Pie 4 P4K
12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m. | Kessel Well and Kessel Bookstore Patio
Pace 4 Kids is getting their pie on! Have fun and pie someone in the face for a good cause. Guests of honor include athletic coaches, campus faculty and staff, and residence directors.

The Strong, the Bold, the Beautiful

Hello, gorgeous! Come to this event hosted by Black Student Union (BSU) to celebrate and discuss natural beauty by sharing hair and makeup tips.

Stop the Ignorance

Join the Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) for Stop the Ignorance, which will be a discussion focusing on the topics of skin, hair, and prejudgments.

Residence Hall Association Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is coming early! Bring your appetite to this appreciation dinner for students where the RHA executive board will serve Thanksgiving food and play games and music, as well.

A Sneak Peek into Nursing

Get in the know about nursing! Walk through various stations and learn about the many tasks nurses complete in the hospital setting. Prizes will be given at each station.

Wednesday, November 9

Election Day Hangover

The election results could have you rejoicing or feeling remorse. This interactive dialogue will help you plan your next steps if your candidate loses on the big day. Free lunch will be provided to lift those spirits.

Look At Me Now

From Greek life to great success, alumni will return to Pace and share advice and stories of how Greek life has helped them after their college years.

Blood Drives Fall 2016

Don’t let one drop go to waste! Roll up your sleeves and donate blood to help do your part and save lives.

AXP National MPS Dinner

Alpha Chi Rho is throwing their third annual Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) Dinner to benefit the MPS Society and to help individuals with the disease.  

Happy Hour: Comedian Derrick Knopsnyder

Need some post-election cheering up? Come to Happy Hour with Derrick Knopsnyder, who was named winner of Stand Up to Cancer's Funniest Person in Huntington, WV, and who was named a finalist in the Cleveland Comedy Festival.

Take a trip to a dinner and drag show delight! Pride at Pace will take a trip to NYC Lips restaurant for a night on the town.

BBQ Shabbat
5:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. | Kessel, Conference Room A/B
Indulge in a Shabbat dinner with a BBQ-themed menu. Hillel will discuss the meaning of Tzedaka, Tikkun Olam, and the importance of community service.

Mortola Library Game Night

Feeling bored? Why not have some fun and play a board game? Enjoy any of the library’s 30 plus board games available, or take part in the featured game, Texas Hold’em Poker (no prior experience required).

Saturday, November 12

Fall Leadership Conference

With a central theme of “Courageous Conversations,” this conference aims to spark conversations you may not normally have with your peers and foster leadership development in multidisciplinary aspects of campus life and the surrounding community. Celebration of the Señorita  
8:00 p.m. | Willcox, Multipurpose Room
A true “Work of Heart”, the Celebration of the Señorita is an annual banquet hosted by the Alpha Xi Chapter of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. to commemorate their time and achievements at Pace. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the banquet begins at 8:30 p.m. Early Bird tickets cost $7, and regular admission and non-Pace guest admission costs $10.

Sunday, November 13

Parents Day

Give your parents a taste of Pace! Parents Day is an annual event where the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon will teach their parents about all the accomplishments of the organization and discuss what is planned for this year. The event will finish with a party complete with food for the parents and students to enjoy.

Homelessness Awareness

More than 500,000 people were homeless in the U.S. last year. Come out and learn more about this important issue and how we can help.

Commuter Life Programming: How Do You Give Back?

In the season of giving it’s time to examine, how do you give back? Commuters, come out and get in touch with giving back just in time for Thanksgiving.

Got Vitals

Stop by Kessel Tabling to get your vitals checked and help make better health choices. Student Nurse Coalition for Diversity and Development (SNCDD) will take your vitals—temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure.

Thursday, November 17

The Great American Smokeout
10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | Kessel Well Tabling
The Great American Smokeout (GASO) is a nation-wide event to help people plan for themselves or others how to quit smoking, or plan in advance and then quit smoking that day. During this event, Colleges Against Cancer will teach participants about the effects that smoking has on the body and how it can lead to cancer. They will also provide tools and outlets needed to reach out for medicine, patches, and additional support.

Thanksgiving Clothing Drive
6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | Kessel Tabling and Butcher Suite
Give thanks and give back at the annual Thanksgiving Food and Clothing Drive hosted by Black Student Union. The Pace Community is asked to donate unused clothing or non-perishable food items in exchange for a free plate of soul food from Sweet Potatoes. Items will be donated to the Bowery Mission in New York City.

Real Men Can Cook
9:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Kessel, Gottesman Room
Men are getting into the kitchen and standing up for body positivity. During the event Real Men Can Cook, Delta Phi Epsilon will raise awareness for their philanthropy, National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), which promotes positive body health and body image. Contestants will cook food for the guests and then be judged by a panel and the audience, and there will be a show and a brief informational.

Happy Hour: Musician Rachel Brown
8:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. | Kessel, Boudreau Lounge
From Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party to opening a stadium performance for Mary J. Blige and Robin Thicke, singer Rachel Brown is making her mark on the music industry and befriending some prominent artists along the way such as Wyclef Jean. Check out her special performance here at Pace!
