Annual Training Updates
Beginning in 2019, on an annual basis, all Pace University employees will be required to complete an online Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention training program. Have you completed yours?
New York State has recently passed legislation that requires all employers within the state to provide annual training on sexual harassment prevention. The Human Resources Office, together with our Title IX Coordinator/Affirmative Action Officer and Legal Counsel, has selected an online Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention training program. The program, which is offered by Everfi’s LawRoom, provides faculty, staff, and student employees an understanding of what constitutes harassment and how to identify, report, and prevent harassment in the Pace Community. Beginning in 2019, on an annual basis, all Pace University employees will be required to complete the program.
During the month of July, you should have received an email directly from “firstname.lastname@example.org” with a link and instructions on how to access the training course. You are required to complete the Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Training course within 30 days of receiving the LawRoom email. The program takes approximately one hour to complete. If you are away from the office when the email is delivered, you will be required to complete the training when you return. Upon completion, please print out your certificate of completion to retain for your records.

Her work, which focuses on reducing stress among student veterans and generating evidence on the benefits of service dogs, was all inspired by a remarkable veteran who changed the course of her career.
