Bet On It

It’s finally here, #SetterNation! Pace’s annual “Setters Madness” basketball celebration drops on Thursday, November 2, and everyone is invited.
Got game? You bet we do! It’s time for Pace’s annual Setters Madness, where students, alumni, faculty, staff, family members, and fans celebrate the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Show up for the showdown on Thursday, November 2 in the Goldstein Fitness Center for a night of festivities, fun, and fierceness. All are welcome to attend! The first 500 fans to arrive will receive a free special edition Setters Madness t-shirt, sponsored by Coca-Cola. Be there:
Thursday, November 2
9:00 p.m.
Goldstein Fitness Center
This free event will include the introduction of the 2017–2018 Pace basketball teams, on-court contests, as well as promotions and giveaways. Free food from local Pace Athletics sponsors will arrive before the Madness begins. The cheerleading and dance squads will also perform throughout the event.
Expect three-point contests, a Blue-Gold scrimmage, and plenty of opportunities for the men’s and women’s basketball teams to show off their skills. And students will get the chance to get in on the action, too! There will be a co-ed shooting contest as well as a relay competition.
Not to mention the pièce de résistance: one extremely lucky student will be selected for a chance to win $10,000 by making a half-court shot. Think you can sink it?

Also in action this week: the Pace Field Hockey team will host its first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Tournament game after earning the league's No. 3 seed. The Setters, who finished the season 15-3 overall in just their third season ever, will welcome sixth-seeded Assumption College to Finnerty Field on Tuesday, October 31, at 4:00 p.m.
