A Big Week in Sports (PLV)

News Story

Women’s Volleyball and Soccer look to continue their winning ways, Pace Goes Pink, and Football comes home.

We’re into October, which means it’s time for our Setters to position themselves for potential postseason glory. Here’s what Pleasantville has going on during this very special homecoming week:

Women’s Volleyball vs. American International College
Tuesday, October 4 | 7:00 p.m. | Goldstein Fitness Center
Pace’s Women’s Volleyball team isn’t messing around—they’ve started the season on a torrid pace (pun intended), and will look to continue that dominance as they head into conference play. Hopefully, their spikes on the Yellow Jackets of American International won’t sting too badly. And that’s not all, big hair and blue eyeliner are back as part of the totally awesome 80s night. That’s right, dress up like your favorite Golden Girl, rock the Flock of Seagulls or Miami Vice, or bust out the legwarmers and leotards we know you have in your closet a la Flashdance.

Women’s Volleyball vs. Adelphi University: Homecoming Game
Friday, October 7 | 7:00 p.m. | Goldstein Fitness Center
Another NE-10 foe, the Setters will look to ground their rivals from Long Island.

Football vs. Southern Connecticut State University: Homecoming Game
Saturday, October 8 | 12:00 p.m. | Goldstein Fitness Center
After a week away, Pace Football comes home for the annual homecoming game, where the Setters will battle the Owls of Southern Connecticut State. The game is sure to be a hoot, as the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free cowbell. This means Pace Stadium will likely be at a fever pitch, the only prescription for which is more…Setter pride of course!

Women’s Soccer vs. Southern New Hampshire University
Sunday, October 9 | 1:00 p.m. | Pace Stadium
Women’s Soccer has gotten off to a great start this season; they’ll look to keep up their winning ways against Southern New Hampshire as they head into the season’s stretch run. In addition to homecoming, this match also marks the annual Pace Goes Pink game, at which students will be selling t-shirts to raise money raise money for breast cancer research and awareness in conjunction with the Northern Westchester Hospital Breast Institute. Pink arm bands will also be provided for attendees.
