Calling All Environmental Ethicists

The 13th International Society for Environmental Ethics conference is going to be held at Pace. Want to be involved? Submit an abstract today!
The International Society for Environmental Ethics (ISEE) was founded in 1990 with the mission of advancing research and education efforts in environmental ethics—a field that, for better or for worse, is only going to continue to grow. Given the realities of climate change and other notable environmental issues, 2016 is definitely going to be a big year for the ISEE—who will be hosting their annual conference at Pace’s NYC Campus this June. The theme for this year’s conference is “Environmental Ethics and Economics: Values & Choices,” and will focus on the relationship between our current economic and social systems, and how those systems impact the world in which we inhabit.
So…where do you come in? The ISEE is seeking abstract submissions for student-written papers, the best of which will be selected by a committee for inclusion and discussion at the conference in June. The abstracts must be 250 words in length, and can focus on categories including (but not limited to):
- Environmental justice
- Environmental and market values
- Sustainable development
- Compatibility between ecology and economics
Interested? For more information and submission guidelines, visit Pace’s ISEE submissions page. The submission deadline is Tuesday, March 1.
