Care to Dance? (PLV)

News Story

OLAS invites you to take big steps toward a cure for heart disease at the annual Pasos Del Corazon dance marathon on March 9 in PLV.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading global cause of death, accounting for 17.3 million deaths per year, a number that is expected to grow to more than 23.6 million by 2030. In the US alone, 2,150 die each day from heart disease. That's one person every 40 seconds.

Join the Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS) in dancing to raise money and awareness on Monday, March 9 at the third annual Pasos Del Corazon (Steps of the Heart) dance marathon and competition beginning at 9:00 p.m. in the Kessel Multipurpose Room in PLV.

Couples who dance for the longest amount of time will be crowned the winners. The entrance fee is $3 and half of the proceeds will go to the American Heart Association, the nation’s oldest, largest voluntary organization devoted to fighting cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
