Got plans this winter break? Career Services invites you to apply for Road Trips to the Real World, an incredible opportunity to travel directly to popular organizations! Learn firsthand about a career field, network with employees, and explore internship and job opportunities all while road tripping it. Site visits will take place anywhere between Thursday, January 3, through Friday, January 18, 2019. Interested? Interview Lab
Wednesday, November 7 | 12:15 p.m.–1:15 p.m. | Computer Lab, Birnbaum Library
Put your interview skills to the test! Attend the Interview Lab to practice your 30-second pitch and develop the ability to talk about your academic and professional experience in a group setting. Be sure to check your Blackboard community and watch the "Ace Your Interview" videos before attending this workshop.
Science Career Connections
Thursday, November 8 | 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. | Computer Lab, Birnbaum Library
A casual networking and recruiting event where you will be able to meet and speak with reps from different companies in different areas within the science fields such as research companies/labs, hospitals, med schools, and more. This is a great opportunity to land an internship or even your first full-time job! There will be free food and beverages. Bring copies of your resume!

Come for an in-person demonstration of the various functions of LinkedIn. Learn how to create a targeted and powerful profile, how to network effectively, and how to use their tools when job searching.
