Comics and Culture Panel (NYC)

News Story

Consider this your bat signal—we want to see you at the comics and culture panel on Wednesday, October 3! Hear from industry experts who work for DC Comics, Cartoon Network, and more.

The Pace University Press, the University's academic press that publishes scholarly journals and books in the humanities and social sciences, is presenting a panel and discussion about comics! Come take part in a stimulating conversation about the industry, its influence on literature and popular culture, and how this applies to academic studies. The theme will highlight the intersection of comics and education, the language of comics, and the use of comics in the classroom.

Panel guests include cartoonist Mark Newgarden (Cartoon Network), editor Joan Hilty (Nickelodeon, DC Comics), comics artist Klaus Janson (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), and writer and illustrator Phil Jimenez (Wonder WomanX-Men). Paul Levitz, former president and publisher of DC Comics, will moderate the discussion. Be there:
