Commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs is proud to host the 20th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration in New York City on Tuesday, February 18, and in Westchester on Wednesday, February 19.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs in conjunction with the Black Student Union will be hosting the 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration featuring a conversation with human rights attorney Derecka Purnell and rapper, songwriter, and activist Meek Mill. The duo will discuss prison reform, mass incarceration, and policing in America.
The event is open to all Pace students, faculty, and staff members free of charge, and will be $20 for outside guests. For more information, please email BSU President Amir Maxwell.

You’re invited to attend the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs’ 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration featuring keynote speaker Derecka Purnell, who is human rights attorney, writer, and organizer. Purnell earned her JD from Harvard Law School in 2017, and has been published in the New York Times, The Guardian, and more. Her keynote speech will focus on the topic “Why We Need Social Movements, and Why They Need You!” Lunch will be provided for attendees.
