Commencement Is Coming!

It’s almost time and we’ve scored the deets on the graduation need-to-knows: look who’s talkin' 2...U; dude, where’s my cap and gown?; and what does the fox(woods) say?

In less than a month, our senior Setters will walk across the stage and pick up their diplomas.

Here are a couple of things you may need to know:

What Does the Foxwoods Say?

Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding. That’s the sound that may be coming out of the slot machines for seniors who plan on taking the PLV Senior Week trip to Foxwoods Casino on May 20–21. For those of you who’d rather the chin chin sounds of a wine glass, there will also be a wine tour and tasting at Millbrook Winery, located in a renovated Dutch-hip dairy barn in the heart of rural Dutchess County. Dude, Where’s My Cap and Gown?

Cap, gown, and tickets will be distributed at the following locations, dates, and times:

New York City:

  • Tuesday, April 22, 12:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. (Student Union, One Pace Plaza)
  • Wednesday, April 23, 3:00 p.m.–9: 00 p.m. (Student Union, One Pace Plaza)

White Plains:

  • Wednesday, April 23, 4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. (Graduate Center, Room 206, 1 Martine Avenue)


  • Monday, April 28, 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. (Gottesman, Kessel Student Center)
  • Tuesday, April 29, 4:00 p.m.–7: 00 p.m. (Gottesman, Kessel Student Center)

In addition, for those who did order their cap and gown by the March 16 deadline, there will be a small quantity of extra Pace custom gown rentals for sale. Bachelor’s gowns cost $95.25 plus tax and master’s gowns are $99.40 plus tax. Cash only.
