The University is committed to ensuring a healthy and safe teaching and learning environment for faculty and students during this unprecedented time in our school's history. Please refer to the following information and resources, which will help ensure continuity as a University while taking the necessary precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Information and Resources for Faculty

  • >> Pace classes will be conducted through remote learning for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester.

  • >> Study Abroad: All of Pace's Faculty-Led Programs abroad have been canceled from March through June 2020. If you have any questions, please email the Study Abroad Office.

  • >> Library: The Pace University Library facilities will be closed until further notice. Library staff will continue to support our community seven days a week through email, live chat, and text and through Blackboard and video/teleconferencing systems.

  • >> ITS has been working diligently to provide multiple options for remote delivery of courses. Most if not all of the tools that you need to deliver your courses remotely are available through the Blackboard shell that is required for each course. View detailed information (including tutorials) about University-provided remote course delivery resources.

  • >> It is crucial to remain in contact with your students during this time, via either email, Blackboard, telephone, text messaging, or through other available methods.

  • >> Research-related activities that must be conducted in person will continue as normal. Consult your department’s Business Continuity Plan and work with your team to make arrangements that are appropriate for your lab. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your department chair directly. No students will be admitted to campus-based labs without Dean approval.

  • >> Schedules: All synchronous remote classes should meet at their regularly scheduled time. Asynchronous classes will follow a schedule designated by the instructor.

  • >> School-specific guidance: There may be some instances in which a specific school or college’s guidance will differ what’s described in this memo. Where there is a discrepancy, follow the guidance from your Dean.

  • >> If you are concerned about possible exposure to COVID-19, please use the confidential patient portal at University Health Care and inform your department chair.

  • >> Commencement is postponed. But it is not canceled. We know how important this milestone is, and we are determined to find a way to recognize the hard work and successes of our students.
