Creative Writers' Workshop (NYC)
Are you a writer who believes the diversity you experience in your daily life should be reflected in literature? Join us on Wednesday, September 26, for an intro session!
Are you a Pace student writer who’s interested in writing about the experiences of people of color? Are you seeking a community where you can share your work and talk about what it means to write about race and ethnicity in the world today? Then join the Creative Writers’ Workshop! You’ll even have the opportunity to earn credits while doing what you love.
This fall 2018 workshop is committed to empowering young writers—especially writers of color—in all genres to write about their experiences as well as exploring the practice and craft of writing in a supportive and nurturing environment.
All writers welcome regardless of experience. We need your stories!
An info session will take place on Wednesday, September 26, at 5:00 p.m. at the English Department (41 Park Row, 15th floor). If you have an interest in registering, please email Dyson Professor Bureen Ruffin.

James Shefferman ’19 has been working since his first year at Pace. From video production intern all the way to manager of video content, he has quite a bit of advice for the next generation of Pace students.
The Content Producer
The Pace Press opened doors for Katrina Alonso ’19 when she was a first-year student. Now its editor-in-chief, she’s been opening doors for others—particularly diverse voices, which has paved the way for greater representation.
Plug in, #PaceU! President Krislov is sitting down with PLV Director of Career Counseling Bless Vaidian and three graduating seniors to talk about their experiences and successes thanks to Career Services.
