News Story

With final exams right around the corner, Pace President Marvin Krislov shares resources and some helpful reminders to get you through to summer.

It’s finally getting sunny and warm in New York, and all those blooming flowers mean we’re moving into the home stretch of the academic year. It’s a busy and bustling time, as students and faculty finish their coursework, seniors prepare for graduation, and we all look ahead to exciting summer plans.

But this can also be a stressful time of year, with exams and deadlines looming. That’s why I want to remind you, even during this busy season, to make the time to take care of yourselves.

You can’t do good work when you’re not taking care of your body. Make sure you eat well, get enough sleep, and exercise regularly. Manage stress however works best for you, whether that’s quiet meditation or a hard workout.

Remember that we have resources at the University to help. If you need someone to talk to, reach out to the many supportive staff members who are here to help, including your dean for students or your adviser. The Counseling Center can also help with stress-management or if you just need someone to talk to. If you need help with coursework, go to the Learning Assistance Center. Go to the Writing Center for assistance with your writing assignments. As always, go to office hours and talk to your professors.

Remember, all of us here at Pace—administrators, faculty, staff, other students—are here to support you. Together, we’ll make sure you have a great finish to a great year.

With my best wishes,
President Marvin Krislov
