Digital Life 2019 (NYC)

News Story

Explore the brand new NYC Tech Zone with President Marvin Krislov and Provost Vanya Quiñones, PhD, on Tuesday, March 12! There will be a student art exhibition featuring the theme: Digital Life. Is technology truly necessary? Find out.

Join Pace President Marvin Krislov and Provost Vanya Quiñones, PhD, for the grand opening of the new NYC Tech Zone, formerly known as the Computer Resource Center. The Art Department will be presenting a group exhibition of digital works by students at the opening reception:

Tuesday, March 12
12:00 p.m.–12:45 p.m.
Tech Zone, Room W202
One Pace Plaza
NYC Campus

All art pieces are interpretations of the theme “Digital Life.” Whether it be charging your phone, computer, or how long your video will run without being plugged in, needing energy to run is a concept almost everyone is familiar with. Students seek to explore the following questions: what constitutes a digital life? Are we so dependent on our technology? What does it give us in return? Is it necessary for leading a complete human life?
