Faculty Corner: February 2020
Nominations for the Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence are open through February 28! Plus, a faculty grant opportunity in the humanities.
Call for Applications: Mellon Periclean Faculty Leader in the Humanities Program Grant
Pace University faculty are invited to apply to be a Mellon Periclean Faculty Leader (PFL) in the Humanities. As a Mellon PFL in the Humanities, you will design, teach, and assess the outcomes of a new or significantly revised course in the humanities (to be taught in 2021–2022) that incorporates a community-based project. The course will be developed in collaboration with a community partner and address one of the grand challenges of climate change, education access, immigration, mass incarceration, race and inequality, or voter engagement. PFLs engage in ongoing faculty development opportunities and receive an award of $3,500 to support their work.
For more information, please email Interim Director Heather Novak.
The deadline for applications is February 21, 2020.
This program is supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, The Eugene M. Lang Foundation, Project Pericles, and Pace University.
