This month, learn how to best support international and multi-lingual students through an informative seminar. Plus, a new grant opportunity!

Supporting International and Multilingual Students

International students make up 20% of the student population at Pace. This seminar, led by Academic Director for Global Pathways Program Mackenzie Lirakis, the Faculty Center, and Academic Services, will discuss some strategies and resources available for supporting and managing a classroom with multilingual and international students. Participants will learn simple techniques to apply in the classroom, as well as receive contact information and resources for students.

New Grant Opportunity

The Office of the Provost is unveiling a new initiative to promote the University’s top priorities of academic success, retention, and persistence to graduation. To that end, the Office of the Provost invites faculty, staff, and administrators to compete for several mini-grants of up to $2,000 each that align with Pace’s strategic plan and will promote these top priorities.

Grants will be chosen according to scalability and potential for the greatest impact on the institution. To apply, please check your email for the grant application, which was sent to faculty and staff by the Office of the Provost on Tuesday, October 30, with the subject header . To apply, please email your application to Sue Maxam by December 2, 2019. The Office of the Provost will announce the grant recipients by December 20, 2019.
