Stress...Let It Go!
Every Tuesday | 3:20 p.m.–4:20 p.m. | Administration Center, 2nd Floor
Learn some proven ways to handle your stress. From test taking anxiety to social anxiety to difficult relationships and more, you can do this, and the Counseling Center can help! Every Wednesday | 12:25 p.m.–1:10 p.m. | Administration Center, 2nd Floor
This is a confidential weekly discussion group for students who are interested in examining or modifying their current use of alcohol or other drugs. Those who wish to seek support in maintaining recovery are also very much welcome. The group offers a safe space for students to share their experiences as well as provide and receive support. Seeking Safety Workshop
Every Thursday | 3:15 p.m.–4:15 p.m. | Administration Center, 2nd Floor
This workshop addresses the most urgent needs of people who have experienced sexual violence or interpersonal trauma. It will cover topics addressing a range of different cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal issues that may be experienced. Understanding Self and Others
Every Thursday | 4:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. | Administration Center, 2nd Floor
This is a confidential interpersonal group that runs weekly throughout the semester, bringing together students of all backgrounds who may struggle with difficulties within their relationships or who are looking to understand themselves better. This group provides the unique opportunity to receive multiple perspectives, support, encouragement, and feedback from up to eight members and one or two therapists in a safe and confidential environment. Both a Counseling Center screening and a separate pre-group meeting is required. If interested, email Yesel Yoon, PhD.
Stress Management Group
Every Friday | 12:15 p.m.–1:00 p.m. | 156 William Street, 8th Floor
Through this group, you will learn concrete ways of relating to challenging thoughts or feelings that often get in the way of living a fulfilling and productive life. This group rotates through seven weeks of topics that teach skills for managing stress, depression, and anxiety. A pre-screening is required to join this group. Please visit the Counseling Center or make an appointment!
Every Monday | 3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. | 156 William Street, 8th Floor
You will learn specific skills for coping with distress, regulating emotions, and building mindfulness. The group includes in-group skills-building worksheets, activities, mindfulness exercises, and discussion. Both a Counseling Center screening and a separate pre-group meeting is required.
