Farewell Angelina | Friday, October 5, at 7:30 p.m.
Named one of Rolling Stone’s “New Artists You Need To Know,” Farewell Angelina is a an all-female alt-country group with powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters, and trailblazing multi-instrumentalists. The band has been opening for some of country music’s biggest names, including Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Trace Adkins, and even Maroon 5!
L. Shankar | Saturday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m.
Renowned violinist and vocalist L. Shankar will be making a rare New York appearance alongside tabla maestro Abhijit Banerjee and Chris Garcia, who will play the South Indian ghatam (clay pot) and kanjira (frame drum). Shankar is known for his dazzling use of the 10-string double violin, which covers the whole range of the orchestra’s string section and has been utilized by Shankar to expand the international audience for Indian music. Don’t miss a performance that’s sure to be mesmerizing!
Bernie Williams and His All-Star Band | Friday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m.
You may know Bernie Williams from his illustrious career with the New York Yankees, but did you know that Williams is also a Latin Grammy-nominated guitarist? Join Bernie Williams and His All-Star Band for a night jazz, rock, and the tropical rhythms of this World Series-level band. Little Shop of Horrors | Tuesday, October 30, at 7:30 p.m.
This small 1986 film has now become a cult classic, and a must-watch around Halloween! Head to the Schimmel for a full viewing experience of the director’s cut of the film. Watch out for those household plants!

Hari Kondabalu | Thursday, November 8, at 7:30 p.m.
Hari Kondabolu is a comedian, writer, and podcaster based in Brooklyn, NY. His Netflix special Warn Your Relatives debuted in May 2018 and was described by The New York Times as “an incisively funny and formally adventurous hour that reveals a comic in command of his powers.” In 2017, he received acclaim for his TruTV documentary, The Problem with Apu.

Don’t miss this thrilling collaboration of visual and audio arts. Ate9 features captivating movement orchestrated by Danielle Agami, and the inventive, modern sounds of Wilco percussionist Glenn Kotche.
Abacus: Small Enough to Jail | Wednesday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m.
Abacus: Small Enough to Jail explores how the Manhattan District Attorney accuses Chinatown, NY’s Abacus Federal Savings Bank of financial fraud, examining how Abacus, a small, family-run community institution becomes the only US bank to face criminal charges in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. The documentary was nominated for Best Documentary at the 90th Academy Awards. The movie will conclude with a Q&A with the Sung family, owners of Abacus Bank.
Louie Anderson | Thursday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m.
You may know iconic comedian Louie Anderson from the FX series Baskets. Or perhaps you know Anderson from decades of hilarious work, which has garnered him three Emmy Awards and inclusion on Comedy Central’s “100 Greatest Stand-up Comedians of All Time.” Either way, he’ll certainly have the Schimmel laughing up a storm.
