Giving Tuesday 2018
On November 27, #GivingTuesday returns to Pace University. We invite you to share in this one-of-a-kind day of global generosity.
Now in its seventh year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 27, 2018.
Last year, in 2017, The Board of Trustees generously donated a challenge gift of $200,000 in support of Pace students in recognition of the Pace Community exceeding 560 donors in just one day—a remarkable achievement that displays the immense strength and generosity of the Pace Community.
In 2017, 83 members of our faculty and staff participated in Giving Tuesday, raising almost $10,000. This year, we are hoping to reach our goal of 90 faculty and staff donors—which we can readily achieve with your help. Together with the contributions of alumni, parents, and friends of Pace, your gift of any amount makes a significant impact for the students you see on campus every day. Your Giving Tuesday gift helps to unlock $200,000 and shows that those who know Pace best, its employees, are willing to invest their time and support to our community!
Together, we hope to set a new Pace record for #GivingTuesday, and we'd like to keep those numbers climbing. Every gift—no matter how large or small—makes a difference.
This fall, join the LBGTQA+ Centers on both campuses for workshops intended to better inform and educate individuals as to different LGBTQA+ identities, best allyship practices, and more. All are welcome!
