With Hearts Wide Open (NYC)
Stand with the Pace Community on April 25 for the Open Hearts Rally focused on love, inclusion, and hope.
When you open your heart, you open your mind. The LGBTQA and Social Justice Center, The A-Z Campaign, Lavender Ladies, and #PaceUEndRape are proud to present Pace United: Open Hearts Rally—a rally about love, inclusion, and hope. Stand with the Pace Community on Tuesday, April 25, from 3:30 p.m.–5:00 p.m. at One Pace Plaza for the rally, which is part of #PaceUEndRape's Week of Action to bring awareness to sexual assault on college campuses and support survivors.
Together the Pace Community will stand as a family to push against negative energy circulating around the United States and the world. This inspiring rally was created to refuel and replenish individuals with activism to fight on with positivity and strength.
Several students will speak and share words of inspiration including Cristian Luca Abbrancati, founder of the A-Z Campaign; Jasper Brooks, LGBTQA and Social Justice Center representative; Alvaro Gamboa, president of Sabor Latino; Sydney Korman, co-president of PaceUEndRape; Rowan Lanning, artist and activist; Alley Speed, president of Lavender Ladies; and Yaseen Eljamal, vice president of Students for Justice in Palestine.
Feeling ready to rally? Make sure to you come prepared with these three important things: your friends, an open heart, and a protest sign cut in the shape of a heart! The rally organizers will be collecting signs afterward for an art project.
