House of Cards (NYC)

News Story

Pick a card, any card, and turn it into a work of art. The Birnbaum Library wants you to transform some of their old catalog cards into art pieces and win $50.

The old-fashioned card catalog may be gone, but that doesn't mean we can't keep the memories going. From now until December 16, 2016, Pace students are invited to participate in the Birnbaum Library Card Catalog Art Contest. Here’s how it works:

>>Pick a card from the card catalog located near the Library’s entry/exit gates

>>Inspired by its title, create an image on either side of the card using any medium

>>Put your name and e-mail address on the opposite side and submit the card at the information desk

Submissions will be judged by Library staff, and one lucky winner will be awarded a prize of $50. Two runners-up will be awarded prizes of $25. The winner, runners-up, and honorary mentions will have their artwork displayed on the wall of the Library as well as on the Library’s Facebook page.
