Preventative Care
The Preventive Care Incentive Program is designed to encourage you and your spouse or domestic partner, if applicable, to have annual preventive care examinations. Statistics show that early detection and recognition of health risks and diseases can significantly improve your long-term health outlook; in cases of potentially deadly diseases, survival rates dramatically improve with early detection and treatment.
If you (and your spouse/registered domestic partner) are enrolled in the University’s medical plan, you are eligible to receive a cash payment for having certain qualified preventive care examinations from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018. Many of these examinations require no co-payments (some restrictions may apply; the list may change periodically—please contact CIGNA directly for any questions concerning co-payments).
