Inside the Actors Studio: Al Pacino
Award winning actor Ellen Burstyn will be hosting the next Inside the Actors Studio on Wednesday, September 25. Join us when she interviews Al Pacino, one of Hollywood’s most celebrated talents.
The Actors Studio Drama School is proud to welcome Ellen Burstyn as a guest host for this special segment of Inside the Actors Studio. Known for her iconic performances in classics such as The Last Picture Show, Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (Oscar and BAFTA winner for Best Actress), and the cultural phenomenon The Exorcist, Burstyn is widely regarded as one of her generation’s greatest actors. Memorable performances include Same Time Next Year (both the Broadway play for which she won the Tony Award, and the film adaptation for which she won the Golden Globe) and a tour de force in Requiem for a Dream, which earned Burstyn her sixth Oscar nomination. She continues to serve as co-president of the renowned Actors Studio, and will appear in several upcoming films including Pale Blue Dot and Welcome to Pine Grove.
She will be joined by Actors Studio alumnus and Co-President Al Pacino, widely celebrated for his turn as Michael Corleone in The Godfather, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He’s enjoyed a long and rich film career thanks to his talents, garnering a bevy of Academy Award nominations leading up to his Best Actor win for Scent of a Woman. Pacino also directed and starred in the films Looking For Richard, Chinese Coffee, and recently, Salome and Wilde Salome, and has worked closely with HBO on the 2003 miniseries Angels in America and the 2010 film You Don't Know Jack, both of which garnered Golden Globe and Emmy awards for his performances.
