IPE’s Cult Classics and Post Mortem (NYC)

News Story

Starting Friday, October 25, the Pace's International Performance Ensemble Class of 2022 will present their devised works developed entirely by students in the BA in Acting and BA in Directing programs.

This fall, the International Performance Ensemble (IPE) Class of 2022 will present two devised works, Cult Classics and Post Mortem, that have been developed by the sophomore students in IPE’s BA in Acting and BA in Directing programs. IPE incorporates the BA in Acting and Directing programs into ensembles—or companies—that enter into a year-long process of collaborative development and production of full-length plays. Students take performance ensemble courses in their first and third years, alongside other core program requirements such as acting, movement, vocal production, and more.

As a highly individualized and professionally guided program, unique in the landscape of performing arts programs in the US, students get a special travel abroad experience in the second year of the program to present their work. Enjoy the fruits of their labor:

Friday, October 25–Saturday, November 2
2:00 p.m. matinees, 7:30 p.m. evening performances
80 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10006

Please purchase your tickets to see IPE’s devised works! The performance of Cult Classics is directed by Suzi Takahashi '22, while Post Mortem is directed by Gabrielle Schutz '22.
