It's a Girl! (PLV)

News Story

We’re forecasting a shower on Tuesday, April 7 in PLV, as Zeta Phi Beta hosts a mock baby shower to raise awareness about premature babies.

Fifteen million babies are born preterm worldwide each year. In the United States, one in nine babies is born prematurely, costing $26.2 billion each year. Additionally, premature birth is the number one killer of newborns.

On Tuesday, April 7, at 9:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room in PLV, Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta sorority will host It’s a Girl, a mock baby shower to raise awareness about premature births and the work being done by the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.

There will be fun contests and prize giveaways. In addition, you can join the Zeta Phi Beta Gamma Upsilon team, as they raise funds and awareness at the March for Babies walk on Sunday, April 26 in White Plains.
