Its Not Easy Being Green (PLV)

On September 24, visiting scholar Nina Godbole shares her experience and research findings on green health, and describes the differences between higher-education in the US and India.

On Thursday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m., join Pace’s Mortola Library in PLV as they welcome visiting scholar Nina Godbole to share her experiences as a researcher working towards her PhD from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, in Dehradun, India. Currently working for IBM in Pune, India, her work is on “Green IT and Hospitals" and she has co-authored several conference papers on the subject with Dyson Adjunct Professor John Lamb, PhD.

So, what exactly is green health? It’s sustainable health care with an approach that is good for environment, good for the patient, good for medical personnel, and good for the bottom line. The green health movement is seeking to reduce waste in the health care setting, reduce energy and water usage, renovate and build responsibly, and increase responsible purchases.
