Jefferson Award Nominations
Do you know someone whose tireless community service efforts are changing Pace—or even the world? Nominate a #PaceU student, faculty, or staff member for a Jefferson Award! The deadline is Friday, October 9, 2020.
Each year, the Jefferson Awards for Public Service looks for the unsung heroes—the selfless people who make the world a better place through volunteering and community service efforts. Known as the “Nobel Prize for public service,” the awards recognize ordinary people who do extraordinary things without needing recognition. And we know there are a ton of you right here at Pace!
The Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR) is requesting nominations from Pace University students, faculty, and staff for this year’s Jefferson Awards for Public Service. If you or someone you know is making a difference in the community (whether they are doing it inside or outside of Pace), nominate them today.
Last year, 12 members of the Pace Community (including six students) were awarded bronze medals for their commitment to service. All students, faculty, and staff are eligible for a Jefferson Award. So nominate yourself or another individual by filling out the Jefferson Award form! The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 9, 2020.
For more information about the Jefferson Awards, visit the CCAR website.
Here’s your shot to help keep Pace safe. The health and safety of the Pace Community is our top priority, and getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is a key part. Check back frequently as we announce vaccine availability for our community.
