The Legendary Lupone (NYC)
Two-time Tony and two-time Grammy-winning Broadway legend Patti Lupone is taking you to Far Away Places right on the Schimmel stage on May 9. You’re not going to want to say you coulda, woulda, shoulda gone to this.
Broadway is heading downtown on Saturday, May 9, as the legendary Patti Lupone takes you on a musical journey in her critically-acclaimed concert “Far Away Places” at 7:30 p.m. on the Schimmel stage.
A Broadway superstar for more than 30 years, Patti LuPone is a two-time Tony Award winner (Best Performance by a Leading Actress for Evita and Gypsy); Olivier recipient (Best Actress in a Musical for Les Miserables), and a two-time Grammy winner (Best Classical Album, Best Opera Recording for Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny).
Accompanied by a five-piece band, she’ll be delivering thrilling renditions of songs by an eclectic list of songwriters including Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Willie Nelson, Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Frederick Hollander, and even the BeeGees!
See who the San Francisco Chronicle calls “the American Musical Theatre’s Greatest Living Star.”
