News Story

Pace’s first-ever LGBTQA+ Research and Activist Praxis Symposium is here! Submit a proposal by Friday, March 27, in order to present your work regarding LGBTQA+ and intersecting topics. We’ll see you at the Symposium on Friday, April 17.

In collaboration with the LGBTQA+ and Social Justice Center, Women and Gender Studies Department, Queer Studies, and the Birnbaum Library, Pace will host its first-ever LGBTQA+ Research and Activist Praxis Symposium. The Symposium will provide students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to share their work and efforts regarding LGBTQA+ (and intersecting) topics. All are welcome to attend:

Friday, April 17, 2020
3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
Bianco Room
NYC Campus

If you’re interested in presenting at the Symposium, you must submit your proposal by Friday, March 27, at 11:59 p.m. Proposals can include any and all work focused on LGBTQA+ identity, issues, politics, perspectives, theories, activism, internships, resources, and more. This could be a student paper or project from a course, a capstone or thesis, independent study, faculty or staff research areas and courses, experiences working with or on LGBTQA+ rights and concerns in public or activist spaces, ideas for future research studies, creative works (i.e. poetry, photography, etc.), or simply a relevant topic you would be interested in presenting.

Please direct all questions to Emmett Griffith! We hope to see you there.
