Book to Screen: Atonement
Tuesday, November 19 | 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | 2nd Floor, Collaborative Learning Room
Let this sweeping drama carry you away! Atonement is based on the book by Ian McEwan, a metafiction novel that takes place over the course of three time periods. The Observer called it “a contemporary classic of mesmerizing narrative conviction,” and the film is just as captivating. Catch the screening!

Thanks 4 Giving Canned Food Drive
Through Saturday, November 30 | Birnbaum Library
Student Affairs’ Programming Action Team are sponsoring a canned food drive! All donations will benefit Pace Provisions, the newly opened food pantry on campus. One non-perishable food item will deduct $2 in library fines!

Keep a lookout for visits from therapy dogs, meditation workshops, and other stress-reduction events during finals! The Birnbaum Library is open until the early hours of the morning, too, providing a quiet spot for anyone needing to type out that final paper.

Did you catch the new collection? The Birnbaum Library offers books for leisure reading including fantasy and science fiction, young adult fiction, graphic novels, yoga guides, best-selling non-fiction, and so much more. Look for these books next to the puzzle table on the first floor!

Game Nights
Every month, you’re invited to take a break from studying and hang with the Mortola team! They’re big fans of board games, plus they serve free pizza and snacks to keep you going. Keep an eye on their Twitter and Instagram accounts for details. We’d love to see you there! They also host community puzzles where everyone is welcome to help put the picture together—literally.

Keep a lookout for visits from therapy dogs, meditation workshops, and other stress-reduction events during finals! There’s also Toast Day, a time-honored tradition at the Mortola Library where they toast the end of the semester—with toast (and toppings!).
