News Story

Join dynamic art duo Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus, better known as LoVid, on Tuesday, December 3, for a showing of their latest art installation that combines digital and analog processes. There will also be a lecture!

Thread Through the Eye is an exciting new installation created by the artist duo Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus, also known as LoVid. They are videos that combine digital and analog processes, using production tools that include homemade audio/video synthesizers and historical analog A/V instruments, as well as digital editing and animation software. Their collaboration began with audiovisual performance and has expanded to include a wide range of media—from prints to app art. In addition, LoVid also creates large scale interdisciplinary projects that combine new technology with social interventions in public spaces.

Their work has been featured in galleries, festivals, and events worldwide. New York venues include the Museum of the Moving Image, the New Museum, Eyebeam, MoMA, and The Kitchen. Now they’re at Pace to present their latest project! Join us for a showing of Thread Through the Eye and a lecture discussion:
