Madness Ensues (PLV)
It may not be March yet, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some serious Madness going on in PLV’s Goldstein Fitness Center. Enjoy some free food, meet the basketball teams, and enjoy some contests and prizes including a $10,000 half-court shot. .
The Pace men's and women's basketball teams invite Pace students, staff, faculty, alumni, parents, and fans to their annual Setters Madness basketball party, which will be held on Tuesday, October 14, in the Goldstein Fitness Center immediately following the 7:00 p.m. volleyball game vs. Post.
The event will include the introduction of the 2014–15 Pace basketball teams, on-court contests, promotions, and giveaways, along with the chance for one student to win $10,000 by making a half-court shot. Free food will arrive immediately following the volleyball game from local Pace Athletics sponsors. The cheerleading and dance squads will perform along with music throughout the event from a local DJ.
The event emcee will be Mike McGinnis, play by play announcer for all Pace basketball games throughout the 2014–15 season on WFAS AM 1230.
The event officially launches the Setter Squad Student Fan Zone initiative for the Pace basketball season in partnership with SAAC and the Lubin Business Association. T-shirts will be on sale at Madness for $10, with $3 of each benefiting the P4K Dance Marathon on November 22. Students are invited to wear the t-shirt at all Pace basketball games.
