Meet and Greet (PLV)

You’re invited to a meet and greet in the Dean’s Lounge with the Dean for Students and her staff! Join us on Tuesday, October 1, for a cup of coffee and some snacks.
On Tuesday, October 1, meet the staff from the Office of the Dean for Students on Pace’s Pleasantville Campus. They’re the team that’s responsible for supporting students through advocating for your interests, concerns, safety, and well-being, so you’ll definitely want to get familiar with them.
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Dean’s Lounge
Stop by for a cup of coffee and some light refreshments and hang out with:
- >> Rachel Carpenter, interim Dean for Students and AVP of Student Affairs: She’s the host with the most. She oversees the teams and departments within Student Affairs. Fun fact: She’s a big-time hiker and she’s hosting two Hiking With the Dean events this fall.
- >> Debbie Levesque, assistant dean for Community Standards and Compliance: She can help you with queries about conduct, the Gamma Sigma Sigma Service Sorority, and pretty much anything else you want to know about Pace! Did you know that she’s worked at Pace for more than 30 years?!
- >> Erika Schmid, Student Affairs coordinator: You can go to her for questions about Pace’s mobile food pantry, if you have questions about Commencement, if you want to become a Spirit Week ambassador, or if you’re a first-gen student in search of a mentor.
- >> Kelly Lang, graduate assistant: She’s the one you want to get to know if you need help figuring out where to go on campus (you know, navigating the Pace system), if you want to know about confidential resources on campus, and how to become a FIRE (Fighting Ignorance and Rape through Education) Peer educator.
We’ll see you there!
