No Stress Zone (PLV)

We know better, we know better than to leave you hanging without a way to relax. Join the Mortola Library for a week of events to help you unwind after a very long semester.
Toast the End of the Semester… With Toast!
Monday, May 2 | 10:00 a.m. | Mortola Library
Leave everything to Mortola as they celebrate the end of the semester with a toast of toast. Join them for a variety of different breads and spreads at their very special toast bar. Grab a snack and take a #toastie (it’s like a selfie, but with toast) to mark the occasion. Special guest appearance by Powdered Toast Man of Ren & Stimpy Show fame. Waffle Woman will be unable to attend due to a prior engagement.
Therapy Dogs Come to Campus
Tuesday, May 3 | 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Birnbaum Room | Mortola Library
Tuesday, May 3 | 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. | Conference Room A/B | Kessel Student Center
Wednesday, May 4 | 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. | Birnbaum Room | Mortola Library
The Good Dog Foundation, which provides animal-assisted therapy services to more than 350 partner facilities in four states, including at disaster sites around the country, as well as hospitals, schools, and nursing homes, is returning to PLV to help provide some stress relief during finals. To help make your ruff days more paw-some, the puppies will be making three stops in PLV.
Guided Meditation
Wednesday, May 4 | 1:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m. | Blue Room | Mortola Library
And you open the door and you step inside; we're inside our hearts. Now imagine your pain is a white ball of healing light…no, we’re not doing that type of meditation. Sr. Susan Becker takes you on a short guided meditation to help you destress and unwind.
Take a Break and Meditate!
All week | Reference Desk | Mortola Library
Unwind and take a break from finals cramming for a little play time. We’ve got jigsaw puzzles, coloring books, sculpting putty, and mini zen gardens for you to relax with.
