The Nobel Prize for Public Service
Know a student, faculty, or staff member whose community service efforts are changing Pace and/or the world? Nominate them for a Jefferson Award by February 14.
Each year, the Jefferson Awards for Public Service looks for the unsung heroes, the selfless people who make the world a better place through volunteering and community service efforts. Known as the “Nobel Prize for public service,” the awards recognize ordinary people who do extraordinary things without needing recognition. And we know there are a ton of you right here at Pace!
The Center for Community Action and Research is requesting nominations from Pace University students, faculty, and staff for the 2014 Jefferson Awards for Public Service. If you or someone you know is making a difference in the community, nominate them today. Nominations are due by February 14! Last year, seven members of the Pace Community were awarded Bronze medals for their commitment to service.
For more information about the Jefferson Award visit the CCAR website. Questions about nominating an individual for the Jefferson Awards should be directed to Heather Novak, Associate Director Pleasantville, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (914) 773-3464; or Daniel Botting, Associate Director New York City, at email@example.com or (212) 346-1791.
