Now Accepting Submissions
Pace is now on Medium.com, a major online platform with over 220 million visitors per month. Thanks to Pace’s new account, you can now reach new audiences worldwide with Medium!
Looking to get the word out on research you’re doing? Or perhaps looking to write a column with creative liberties that might not fit a traditional publication? In an effort to create a space for thoughtful and creative curation of content written by Pace University faculty, staff, and students, the Office of University Relations will be accepting faculty and staff submissions for publication on Medium.com.
While still in its nascent stage, we believe that publishing to Medium has the potential to introduce a wider, external audience to not only Pace, but to the experts and thought-leaders within our University community.
Why Publish on Medium?
- >> Built-in audience: Medium.com has millions of users per month looking for great, topical content. In 2016, its users spent an average 4.5 million hours per month reading on the platform. Its users can also subscribe to blogs, authors, tags, or categories of posts that they like in their custom feeds.
- >> SEO and personal brand: Medium’s high domain authority helps boost your traffic in organic search results, likely out-performing an independent blog or website. If you’re looking for more web results when people Google your name, this is a simple way to do it.
- >> Metrics: Medium gives you access to key metrics that tell you how people are interacting with your content. These easy-to-understand stats give publishers a solid view of what readers like, what they’re actually reading, and what they are sharing with their friends and followers on other social channels.
We’re looking for experts and thinkers to share their points of view from their own unique perspective. No one can tell your story better than you can, so we’re inviting you to do just that. Tell us about your research; share your opinion on environmental, political, or social trends; what are your thoughts on a city campus; how hip hop music influences fashion and vice versa. Whatever it is, we want to hear from you!
For more information or to submit an article for publication on Pace University’s Medium.com profile, please contact your school/college communications team or email URNews@pace.edu. Please note that submission does not guarantee publication.
