Pace 4 Kids Kickoff (PLV)
24 hours in a day; 12 hours to save a life. The annual Pace 4 Kids Dance Marathon is happening in November. On September 23, P4K will host a kickoff. Let’s get started making miracles happen.
We dance for those who can’t.
Last year, the Pace 4 Kids Dance Marathon raised $30,016.73 for the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, which serves more than 20,000 children each year.
Back for its third year, P4K has upped its goal to $35,000, and they need your fancy footwork and fundraising skills to make it happen on November 21–22 from 3:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. in the Kessel Student Center on the Westchester Campus.
For 12 hours, dancers will participate in a group morale dance each hour (watch video of last year’s dance), along with fan-favorites, like the cha-cha, electric slide, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll get to watch you whip, watch you nae nae.
But before we move, we must motivate. On Wednesday, September 23, join the P4K committee and rest of the Pace Community at the Pace 4 Kids Kick-Off: Sweets for Superheroes from 9:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. on Miller Lawn. Enjoy s'mores, candy, and baked goods, hear from P4K directors about their positions and why they P4K, find about fundraising efforts, and, of course, register to dance for those who can’t!
When setting your goals, think about this: 100% of your donations stay local in the Hudson Valley and help make a difference in the lives of children within the community at Maria Fareri, our local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Raising just $50 will provide a birthday party for a child who has to spend his/her special day in the hospital. Need more convincing? Check out this compilation video of P4K 2014.
Ready to get involved? Register today for just $10 or shoot them an e-mail at email@example.com. Also, make sure to give P4K a thumbs up on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and Instagram, and check out their website at www.pace4kids.com.
