Paint the Campus Purple (PLV)
In just a few months, the Pace Community will gather on the Westchester Campus to celebrate, remember, and fight back against cancer at the annual Relay for Life. But before you relay, you must register. Stop by the Relay for Life Kickoff on February 19 in PLV!
Did you know that one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime?
On Friday, April 25, Pace University will join more than 4 million people across more than 20 countries around the world to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.
On Wednesday February 19, stop by the Relay for Life spring kickoff from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Gottesman Room to learn more about the event, hear about this year’s Relay Around the World theme, hear about the Greek and non-Greek challenges, sign up teams and individuals, enjoy some free food, entertainment, and more! This year’s Relay for Life goal is $60,000.
Each year, Pace raises close to $50,000 for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society’s signature event, Relay for Life, is a fun-filled, overnight event that brings people together to raise money for cancer. More than just a walk around a track, activities in the past have included a Rock Band competition, breast cancer bingo, casino night, and live performances. A Survivors Lap will celebrate the victories we’ve achieved over cancer and an emotional Luminaria Ceremony will pay tribute to those affected by cancer with a bright glow of hope that lights up the night. Make a difference today by signing up, joining a team, or simply making a donation. Together, we’re creating a world with more birthdays!
