Paws and Breathe (PLV)

News Story

Unwind with animal therapy on Monday, April 22, when Pace’s very own Pawfessor Spirit arrives to guide you through proven breathing techniques to combat stress! This pupfessional wants all the pets, please.

Finals are almost here, which can be an incredibly stressful time for all students. We get that. It’s why Pawfessor Spirit is visiting with College of Health Professions (CHP) Professor Joanne Singleton, PhD, RN, to lead evidence-based relaxation sessions, otherwise known as animal assisted intervention. This technique has been proven to help lessen stress, and Spirit is a trained pupfessional in this field. He’s certified by Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities (ECAD), and now he helps countless Pace students, faculty, and staff through relaxation sessions.

Give him some paw and sign up for one of the available time slots by filling out this form. You must schedule a time in order to participate!
