President's Post: Bo's Story

News Story

In his latest blog, President Friedman shares an inspiring story about Bo, whose Make-A-Wish dream was to receive strength and conditioning workouts from a Pace athletics trainer. Now a freshman at the University, Bo's Pace experience is just beginning.

“I often talk about the amazing stories at Pace University. These stories recount victories of exceptional students and teams of students, highlight the accomplishments of our well-respected faculty, and demonstrate the heart of our University—like when everyone pulled together after Superstorm Sandy. Then there is Bo’s story. It is a story that embodies the best elements of all our other stories combined. Bo’s story reminds us that Pace is a very special place, made up of very special people,” writes Pace President Stephen J. Friedman in his latest blog post.

Read more about Bo, who was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer at 10-years-old and introduced to Make-a-Wish Foundation, using his wish on strength and conditioning workouts with Pace Athletics trainer Mike Bohlander, while most kids wish for a trip to Disney World. Now cancer-free and in his first year as a Pace student, Bo’s strength will inspire you.

You can read more unique stories on the President’s blog, which also includes a vlog on the University’s progress and renewal.
